Question by Kumquat May: why are christians so uptight about sex and make such a big deal of it all the time?
Ive always considered it one of the fun things in life, but christians seem to obsess about it all the time, stressing over who is doing what to whom, and who is watching what. It all sounds a little unhealthy. Do you think they channel that pent-up tension into religion, so that they become incapable of seeing reason?

Because suppressing natural human urges is a very effective way to control people through guilt, low self-esteem, and fear.
